Cristina María Scherban Méndez is a Spanish-American actor, writer, and musician.

Cristina earned her BFA in Acting from Emerson College in Boston. She has trained at The Upright Citizens Brigade, The BGB Studio and studied for two years under the late director Robert Allen Ackerman, renowned for his work with esteemed actors such as Al Pacino, Helen Mirren, and Meryl Streep.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Cristina is bilingual in English and Spanish and holds citizenship in both the US and Spain. Her mother is Spanish and her late father was American of mixed descent. Cristina's upbringing often saw her spending summers in Spain with her grandmother and relatives. She pursued her passion for acting at The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts before obtaining her BFA.

Cristina emanates a magnetic energy marked by elegance, conviction, and innate charisma. Despite her sensitive and playful nature, she embodies a captivating boldness.

WRITING

Cristina broke story and collaborated on the development of two original pilots (GODDESS and EXTRA-VERSE) and is now refining her own pilot, DREAMSHOP, a sci-fi subversion of Sleeping Beauty.

MUSIC

Cristina writes and produces her own music, blending genres like new-wave, pop, Latin, and hip hop. In 2021, she started getting noticed on social media and in the underground scene with her music released as BebeSol. Prominent blogs such as Medium gave her high praise, and her releases were featured on Spotify editorial playlists such as “Hyperpop” and “Fantasia.” Her next project, as XSTINA MÉNDEZ, is set for 2024.

Cristina is currently based in Tampa and Los Angeles, and travels frequently to New York and Spain.
